<u>Answer:</u>

333 people of ward 5 are going to be voting for Spike Jones.

<u>Solution:</u>

We have been given that two-thirds of all voters in Ward 5 plan on choosing Spike Jones for commissioner.

There are 500 voters in Ward 5.

Since 2/3 of all voters in Ward 5 are voting for Spike Jones the remaining 1/3 will not be voting for him.

To find out how many people in ward 5 are exactly voting for Spike Jones. We need to calculate how much is two thirds of 500 is.

This is done as follows:

\begin{array}{l}{\frac{2}{3} \times 500} \\\\ {=\frac{1000}{3}} \\\\ {=333.334}\end{array}

Since people cannot be denoted in decimal points we have to round it off to a whole number. That’s is 333.

Therefore 333 people of ward 5 are going to be voting for Spike Jones.

Determine if the following events are independent.
Artemon [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine if events are independent, one has to confirm if there's no relationship between the events.

Event A. Not shutting off the water in the kitchen sink.

Event B. Receiving a high water bill.

Both Events are related as Event B is proportional to Event A. This means they are not independent but rather dependent

Find the measure of one interior angle for the following regular polygon
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

144 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the formula (n-2)(180), where n = number of sides, to find the sum of all the interior angles in the decagon. Since a decagon has 10 sides:

(n-2)(180) = ?

(10-2)(180) = ?

(8)(180) = 1440.

Now, to find one interior angle in the decagon, divide 1440 by the number sides in our polygon (10).

1,440/10 = 144

               = <u>144 degrees</u>
