On May 10, 1869, the Transcontinental Railroad construction ended. The owners of both companies that build the Railroad -the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads- meet in Promontory, Utah and finally, both coasts of the U.S. were connected. Now, transcontinental railroad travel was posible with the many advantages that followed.
