Answer with explanation:

Binomial Experiment:

In a binomial experiment, if there are x Independent trials, there are only  two possible outcome, one is Success and another one is failure.

The Probability of Success and failure in each trial is same.

Consider For example tossing a die,

Success(S)= Even Number={2,4,6}

Failure(F) =Odd Number ={1,3,5}

P(S)=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}\\\\P(F)=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}

As, you throw the dice 100 times or 1000 times or 10000 times, the Probability of Success and failure in each case is same.And each throw will be independent of another.

The Three criteria that  binomial experiments meet :

1.The trials are independent

2.There are only two outcomes per trial.

3. The probability of success is the same for each trial.

Let μ denote the true average reaction time to a certain stimulus. For a z test of H0: μ = 5 versus Ha: μ > 5, determine the
noname [10]

Answer: 0.0708

Step-by-step explanation:

Let μ denote the true average reaction time to a certain stimulus.

To determine : The P-value for a z test of H0: μ = 5 versus Ha: μ > 5.

In the given set of hypothesis , the alternative hypothesis is right -tailed , so the test is a right tailed test .

Given test statistic : a) z= 1.47

Now, the p-value for the right tailed test :

P(z>1.47)=1-P(z\leq1.47)\ \ [\because P(Z>z)=1-P(Z\leq z)]

=1-0.9292=0.0708

[Using the p-value table for z]

Hence, the required P-value = 0.0708
