Accommodation is a term that is used in linguistics in order to describe the way in which some people change their speech due to their contact with a particular person. These changes usually involve a person's diction, accent or vocabulary. In this example, you are participating in accommodation, as you are changing your speech to match that of your sister's. When a speaker changes his speech in order to fit the style of the other person, this is known as convergence. When the change is intended to create speech that differs from that of the other person, this is called divergence.

Answer: Communication Accommodation theory is simply a theory that shows how individuals makes adjustments during communication for others to understand them more.

Explanation: when individuals changes the way they talk (vocabularies) to fit their listener, such individual have undergone what is call communication accomodation.

In this contest, the inclusion of profanities in my language when I talk to my sister in response to the profanities she uses in her language best illustrates the concept of communication accomodation theory.
