How did the assassination of Archduke of Ausrtria-Hungary lead the war between Russia and Germany

History

Well, if you wish to be technical, the assignation of the archduke was not the only thing that lead to the war between Russia and Germany, otherwise known as the WW1 (World War One.) The murder of the archduke and his wife was the critical blow that caused the war, but, the tension was heavy between the two countries for years. It was mostly because of nationalism, and imperialism. Nationalism is that strong feeling that your country is the best at everything. Imperialism is when a country tries to conquer as much land as possible. Also, militarism or the glorification of military strength played a strong role in the start of World War One. So, to answer your question, the assignation of the archduke and his wife was simply the excuse both countries needed to start a fight.

During this time, Napoleon negotiated the Concordat of 1801, developed the Napoleonic Code, a civil code. He also made changes to the educational system in France. He also began the Napoleonic Wars, a series of wars that persisted while he was the Emperor of France (about 1801–15).

<h3>What actions did Napoleon take to gain power?</h3>

Napoleon insisted that laws be codified, and one of his greatest triumphs was the Napoleonic Code, which was adopted not just in France but also in the countries that the French army had conquered in Europe. That new legislation forced upon France a unified system of justice.

How might a renaissance critic of machiavelli have responded to his work?
algol13
<span>Machiavelli was an Italian Renaissance Philosopher and statesman, through his works he often argued that political life could perhaps be excused for performing violent and deceptive actions which would not be a right in private life. He described how neither moral or religious rules alone were sufficient in governing. Because of this Machiavelli was often criticized and misunderstood by critics of the time because of this view he had on the relationship between politics and ethics. He was regarded as opportunistic and manipulative for this reason.</span>
