Social categories are the categories that have some special characteristics or traits that are common in a group of people but they are not willing to interact with each other. The teenager in a group have common traits and quality but they don't need to talk to each other because they are a teenager.
The other aspect of the social category is that people know each other only through their characteristics or traits but not beyond it. These are the characteristics that differentiate between social category to social groups.
