The first one is the classic Arab style you can see around the world but the other one has many borrowed details from Chinese architecture and to someone that doesn't know much about mosques in China wouldn't know it was even a place of worship. The reason for this is that the Muslims in China were very influenced by the surroundings and culture in which they lived. Islam exists in china for more than 1000 years!
