This made transportation easier and more accessible. There are two groups I could think of that didn't benefit. Factory workers and people who depended on agriculture for income such as farmers. Sure, factory workers had jobs. But they often had poor working conditions. People such as farmers weren't greatly harmed but they did lose small amounts of profit. And the are was more polluted. <span />
