Well when I read it I thought his attitude would be accepting and admiring of the past but although he reads books about Shakespeare and such he disagrees with the concept of passion. He stated that the people now are better off without passion. I would say his attitude is understanding and interested in the past
The first one I believe. Conjunctive adverbs are used to show contrast if I remember right, and that's the only sentence that does.
Beachgoers are always advised to stay a long way far from, and not touch, a dead beached whale that is because while the gaseous stress inside the whale builds up to risky ranges, it could have 'explosive' effects.
Decay units quickly after the death of a whale, as the insides start to decompose. The animal then expands with fuel and every so often floats as much as the ocean floor, which may be scavenged by using sharks and seabirds.
Once a whale dies, it is able to waft at or close to the sea's surface for a few days due to gas buildup, however, subsequently, the carcass sinks, is carried via ocean currents, and regularly touchdown in the deep sea. these whale falls are rare but are most often seen along the migratory routes of dwelling whales.
