Classical Republican’s believe that the goal of education was liberal education. This is to mean a system that cultivate a free human being  through empowerment of individuals to attain broad knowledge and skills that could be transferred with a strong emphasize in values, ethics and civil participation. Classical republicans advocated for a system of education which impacts same ideas to people, create a similar kind of individuals and create a shared experience and values. Through this way, they believed that  morals would be attained where learners know their duties  and roles in the society

Besides that, Santa Anna wanted strong centralized government and didn't want Texas to be independent from Mexico. Some texans wanted to be permitted to have slaves. Mexico refused to recognize Texas Republic, but didn't conquer it.

Those issues were resolved in following steps:

- Anna went in battle at Alamo, killing Crockett;

- they beated Santa Anna and won independence,  but buren didn't want to deal with issue of slavery.
