Boat operators in coastal waters should be watchful, mindful and careful of the effects of tides when boating, because the rise and fall of tides in the water can cause water levels to fluctuate and change by several feet and can possibly create strong currents in which tidal currents are strong enough that makes the boats cannot make successfully heading against the current.

Answer: Tides cause water levels to rise and fall.

Explanation:

When boating in coastal waters one must have the effect of tides in mind. Usually, changing tides are predictable, as variations commonly appear twice every day at around six-hour intervals. The rise and fall of tides can change water levels by a lot, and strong currents may also develop. Tidal currents can get so strong that a boat may not be able to make headway against it.

Why can we say that the people in the past mauryan periods had trade relations with distant lands?
Ainat [17]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached, we can say the following.

We can say that the people in the post-Mauryan periods had trade relations with distant lands because they were people dedicated to farming the land and developed good agriculture techniques that made them produce good cash crops that were traded to faraway places like Europe.

These long-distance trade routes served also to trade crafts and pieces of art. South Indian people could create routes by land through the river valleys. Post-Mauryan people learn how to navigate the Arabian Sea to create navigation routes to other distant places.

Answer:

a. Force

Explanation:

Force is a method of conflict resolution in which someone of authority or that occupies a position of power, enforces a viewpoint or decision on a conflicting issue in order to end such conflict as quick as possible. It produces a kind of win-lose solution especially when it has to do with making an urgent issue that brings up unnecessary conflicts that can be detrimental to a team. Issues that puts important principles at stake are better resolved using force to compel parties to comply.
