Hey there!

1.) Without the atmosphere, average temperature on Earth would be freezing! Below zero to be exact!

2.) The atmosphere protects us and animals from dangerous radiation from the Sun. Ultraviolet radiation is basically invisible rays of energy created by the sun.

3.) Also, the atmosphere provides oxygen for humans and animals to breathe and C02 (Carbon dioxide) for plants.

4.) And lastly, the atmosphere protects us from objects coming towards the earth.

Hope this helps!

Among some of the functions of the atmosphere we have:

1) The atmosphere acts as a protective shield or as a shield against the possible fall of meteorites coming from outer space on the earth.

2) The atmosphere protects the planet earth against the action of solar radiation. Without the atmosphere, human beings are exposed to the action of ultraviolet rays.

3) The atmosphere provides oxygen. This is vital for the organism in order to be able to complete the basic functions of life.

4) The atmosphere protects the planet from drastic variations in temperature and climate during the day and night.

How might the cultures of Latin America be different if the Spanish and Portuguese had never arrived? What kind of culture do yo
kap26 [50]
Most countries in SA speak either spanish or portuguese as well as being largely of the Catholic faith due to the conversion practices of the Catholic missionaries however the arrival of the Europeans also caused the spread of diseases such as smallpox that decimated the native population. This massive population lost saw to it that the culture and and large native american empires in SA including the Inca and the Aztecs. So if Europeans never arrived in SA then the SA of today would be very different because it would still have a strong base in the native cultures that were wiped out by the conquering Europeans. <span />
