Answer:

Part A:

Mean: 129.8

Median: 131.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean is the average so we add everything together and then divide it by however many numbers there are. 132 + 141 + 110 + 96 + 154 + 135 + 111 + 139 + 102 + 135 + 133 + 127 + 99 + 124 + 129 + 201 + 131 + 128 + 134 + 135 = 129.8

The median is the number in the middle. That is the number in between the rest from smallest to largest. 96, 99, 102, 110, 111, 124, 127, 128, 129, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 135, 135, 139, 141, 154, and 201

The medians are 131 and 132 so we add them together then divide by 2. That gives is 131.5 so that is our answer. I hope this helps and please mark me brainliest!

Find the value of x, y, and z in the rhombus below.
Yuki888 [10]

Solution:

<u>It should be noted:</u>

  • Opposite sides of a rhombus are always equal.
  • Opposite angles of a rhombus are always equal.

<u>Thus:</u>

  • (-y - 10) = 90°
  • 3z - 3 = 90°
  • 4x - 2 = 90°

<u>Finding x:</u>

  • 4x - 2 = 90°
  • => 4x = 90 + 2
  • => 4x = 92
  • => x = 23

<u>Finding y:</u>

  • (-y - 10) = 90°
  • => -y - 10 = 90°
  • => -y = 100
  • => y = -100

<u>Finding z:</u>

  • 3z - 3 = 90°
  • => 3z = 90 + 3
  • => 3z = 93
  • => z = 31

Four ninths plus nine eighteenths :]
goldenfox [79]

Answer:  17/18

In words, this is seventeen eighteenths

==========================================

Work Shown:

4/9 + 9/18

8/18 + 9/18 ... see note below

(8+9)/18

17/18

----------------

note: To go from 4/9 to 8/18, we multiply top and bottom by 2. So that's why 4/9 = 8/18.

The diagram below shows a visual representation of why 4/9 = 8/18.

In the top row, I've drawn out 9 rectangles of the same size. Then I've shaded 4 of the 9 rectangles to represent the fraction 4/9. In the bottom row, I've cut each of those 9 rectangles into two smaller equal pieces, so we have 9*2 = 18 rectangles now. Note how the shaded regions are the same size, so this shows 4 green regions doubles to 2*4 = 8 yellow regions; therefore 4/9 is the same as 8/18.

A local bottler in Hawaii wishes to ensure that an average of 22 ounces of passion fruit juice is used to fill each bottle. In o
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

(A)  H_0 : μ = 22 ; H_A : μ ≠ 22

(B) Value of the test statistic = -2.69

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a local bottler in Hawaii wishes to ensure that an average of 22 ounces of passion fruit juice is used to fill each bottle. He takes a random sample of 65 bottles. The mean weight of the passion fruit juice in the sample is 21.54 ounces. Assume that the population standard deviation is 1.38 ounce.

We have to test the accuracy of the bottling process.

(A) Let, NULL HYPOTHESIS, H_0 : \mu = 22 ounces  {means that an average of 22 ounces of passion fruit juice is used to fill each bottle}

ALTERNATE HYPOTHESIS, H_A : \mu \neq 22 ounces  {means that an average of 22 ounces of passion fruit juice is used to fill each bottle}

The test statistics that will be used here is One-sample z-test;

             T.S. = \frac{\bar X - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} } } ~ N(0,1)

where, \bar X = sample mean weight of the passion fruit juice = 21.54 ounces

            \sigma = population standard deviation = 1.38 ounces

            n = sample of bottles = 65

(B) So, <u>test statistics</u> =  \frac{21.54-22}{\frac{1.38}{\sqrt{65} } }

                                  = -2.69

Hence, the value of test statistics is -2.69.

Two triangles are similar with a scale factor of 3. The preimage triangle has a base of 7 inches and a height of 10 inches. What
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

<u>The area of the larger triangle is 315 inches²</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review all the information provided for answering the questions properly:

Pre-image triangle has a base of 7 inches and a height of 10 inches

Scale used : Factor of 3

2. What is the area of the larger triangle??

For calculating the area of the larger triangle, we use the scale this way:

Base = 7 inches * 3

21 inches

Height = 10 inches * 3

30 inches

Area of the larger triangle = 1/2 (Base * Height)

Area of the larger triangle = 1/2 (21 * 30)

<u>Area of the larger triangle = 630/2 = 315 inches²</u>
