mary purchased 3 1/2 pounds of bananas. If the loaf of banana bread requires 3/4 pounds of bananas, how many loaves of banana br
nikklg [1K]
For this one a simple way that you can think of it is that 1 pound of banana is equivalent to 100, 3/4 pounds of banana is 75, 1/2 pounds of banana is 50, etc.

3 1/2 pounds of banana = 350

3/4 pounds of banana = 75

If i want to find out how many loafs of banana bread I can make if ONE loaf requires 3/4 pounds of banana, and i have 3 1/2 pounds of banana then I divide:

350 / 75 = 4.66

So, with 3 1/2 pounds of bananas you can successfully create 4 loafs of banana bread. the remaining .66 is not enough banana to make another loaf.

Y-5=-1/2(x+7) (find the slope)
sashaice [31]

It's the slope-point formula:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We have:

y-5=-\dfrac{1}{2}(x+7)

Therefore, the slope m=-\dfrac{1}{2}

14. Boyle’s Law states that when a sample of gas is compressed at a constant temperature, the pressure P of the gas is inversely
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

dV/dt = 100 cm³/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

V = 728 cm³

P = 182 kPa

dP/dt = - 25 kPa/min

dV/dt = ?

If we apply the ideal gas equation

P*V = n*R*T

where n*R*T is constant

we have

d(P*V)/dt = d(n*R*T)/dt

⇒ d(P*V)/dt = 0

⇒ V*(dP/dt) + P*(dV/dt) = 0

⇒ dV/dt = - (V/P)*(dP/dt)

Plugging the known values we obtain

⇒ dV/dt = - (728 cm³/182 kPa)*(- 25 kPa/min)

⇒ dV/dt = 100 cm³/min

Which number is written in scientific notation? 7.8 x 10−5 0.84 x 106 3.4 x 1002 −5 x 10−12
olchik [2.2K]
Hello there,

First off what is scientific notation?

Scientific Notation is the way that scientist handle very large or very small numbers..
for example, instead of writing 0.0000000056 we write 5.6x10 (exponent -9)

So, now we got that out the way lets look up here at the choices....

I would say that 7.8x10 (exponent -5) would be the answer! :)

I hoped this helped!!!! :)))

God bless you.
