Answer:

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence. The term refers to U.S. senator Joseph McCarthy and has its origins in the period in the United States known as the Second Red Scare, lasting from the late 1940s through the 1950s

 • This term was based off of Senator McCarthy, but it first began during the red scare. Which lasted through 1940 through the 50's during the cold war. But McCarthy was the chairman of the Senate's subcommittee of investigations. Which interrogated anyway accused of being affiliated with communism or suspected of un-american activities. But why it made such an impact was because hundreds if not thousands of americans lost their jobs being accused of communism.

Hope this helped!

Which one of the following statements about making your writing fun to read is correct?
Liono4ka [1.6K]
D. The conversation you write must sound natural for the characters.
More natural conversations between characters make your writing more fun to read. Reading a dialogue that sounds like it could actually happen engages the reader, and creates an investment in the characters themselves. Think of it this way, would you rather watch a movie with good acting or bad acting?

Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

Hello,

The answer would be A,

Some animals can change their appearance to stay safe.

The text provided says that the animals change their appearances to avoid getting eaten by predators. It says " Some fish puff up their bodies to scare other animals away. Some frogs change how their skin looks to blend into their surroundings and avoid predators. Many octopuses can make themselves look like other animals to avoid being hunted."

This shows they are just trying to survive.

Therefore, the answer would be A,

Some animals can change their appearance to stay safe.

Hope this helps! :)
