Find the missing side. round to the nearest tenth
irakobra [83]

Answer:

8.8

I don't see that choice in this picture so I hope that those are not all the choices

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets find all the angles first, that highlighted red square means that angle is a right angle, also known as 90 degrees, and the missing angle will be represented with b, also a triangle equals 180 degrees:

48 + 90 + b = 180

138 + b = 180

b = 42

So the missing angle is 42. If u didn't know, how wide an angle is effects the length of the side that it's facing. So because one of the angle is 48 degrees, the length of the side facing it is 10. So we needed to find the missing angle first to determine x, which we already did. So lets find the scale factor, we're dividing 42 with 48:

42/48 = 7/8

Now multiply 7/8 with 10:

10(7/8) = 70/8 = 8.75 = 8.8

For the function f(x) = 6x − 8, identify the values of f(0), f(1/2), and f(−2).
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

[see below]

Step-by-step explanation:

Replace 'x' with the given value and evaluate.

For f(0):

f(0)=6x-8\\\\f(0)=6(0)-8\\\\f(0)=0-8\\\\\boxed{f(0)=-8}

For f(1/2):

f(1/2)=6(1/2)-8\\\\f(1/2)=3-8\\\\\boxed{f(1/2)=-5}

For f(-2):

f(-2)=6(-2)-8\\\\f(-2)=-12-8\\\\\boxed{f(-2)=-20}

Hope this helps.

Given the midpoint and one endpoint of a line segment , find the other endpoint. Endpoint: (10, 12), midpoint: (6, 9)
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

The other end-point is: (2,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the end-points be:

(x_1,y_1)\ and\ (x_2,y_2)

(x1,y1) = (10,12)

Mid-point = M = (6,9)

The formula for mid-point is given by:

M(x,y) = (\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}, \frac{y_1+y_2}{2})

Putting the values

(6,9) = (\frac{10+x_2}{2} , \frac{12+y_2}{2})

Putting respective coordinates equal

6 = \frac{10+x_2}{2}\\6*2 = 10+x_2\\12 = 10+x_2\\x_2 = 12-10\\x_2 = 2\\9 = \frac{12+y_2}{2}\\9*2 = 12+y_2\\18 = 12+y_2\\y_2 = 18-12\\y_2 = 6

The other end-point is: (2,6)
