in a earthquake -prone area, which earth material -igneous rock or sedimentary rock or sedimentary rock -would be better for cons
ludmilkaskok [199]
I would say that igneous rock, because when it is fresh and unaltered can be quite tough to withstand shock would be a better construction material. From experience I believe that the large tightly fitting stones of the Inca fortresses were mostly constructed from igneous rock and it usually stands up well in earthquakes in Peru,

dimaraw [331]

Answer:

1 kg

Explanation:

Because if it's precise to the ones place, then it would be 1.0 kg. So the corundum would weigh 1 kg. and your just moving the 10 over one to the right  so the dot is now between 1 and 0 making it 1.0.

Why are Metamorphic Rocks more resistant to weathering and erosion than Sedimentary Rock?
dlinn [17]

answer:

The rock is more dense.

Explanation:

If you look at the rock cycle, you'll see when sedimentary rock goes under extreme heat and pressure, it becomes metamorphic rock. So the metamorhpic rock is so much more dense that the rock is like a sedimentary times ten! I mention it's more dense because they're is more rock to erode away. Making it much harder to wear away the metamorphic rock.
