How does the story make the readers feel? is the correct answer.
Just think about what mood means, and that will you help you with answers such as these. None of these besides that are relevant to the question because they don't affect the mood whatsoever. So if the story makes you feel sad, then the mood is sad, therefore how you feel helps you determine the mood.
For example: if you were reading a chapter and the whole chapter was about the death of a girls mother, would you say that the chapter was sad?(the answer should be yes!) therefore how the chapter made you feel helped you figure out the mood!

How did Modernist poets use “white space” to enhance the meaning of their works?
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

white space and poems are simply space within a line of poetry usually inserted as a guide to the reader on how to place the reading of the poem. it can also be used to modify the meaning of a poem or to elicit a " pause " and " reflection" from the reader.

white space is to airport what the"pause for effect" is to the orator.

He was rejected the program......his poor analytical skill
ANTONII [103]
If you are looking for a way to connect these two clauses, you might want to use the subordinating conjunction "because" making it a complex sentence consisting of an independent clause "he was rejected from the program" + because "of his poor analytical skills".
