You can take 120 things and divided them into 3 different groups and what ever you have left you would get  the remainder so 120 divided into 3 groups is 40 so there would be 40 groups of 3 and to check this you could do 40x3 to get 120. So your answer would be 40 groups of 3 with NO remainder.
Hope it helped!

Hey, this is really simple. Let's look at 12÷3 . That equals 4, since we have the zero from the 12 we need to add it to the four. So your answer would be 120÷3=40. Good luck !

The mean of four positive integers is 5.
a_sh-v [17]

Answer:

(x1 + x4)/2 = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

(x1 + x2+ x3 + x4)/4 = 5         mean

x1 , x2 , x3 , x4

median (x2+x3)/2 = 6

(x2+x3) = 12

The smallest integer is x1, the largest integer x2.

The mean of the largest and smallest of the integers is (x1 + x2)/2.

(x1 + x2+ x3 + x4)/4 = 5

x1 + x2+ x3 + x4 = 20

x1 + 12 + x4 = 20

x1 + x4 = 20 - 12

x1 + x4 = 8

(x1 + x4)/2 = 8/2

(x1 + x4)/2 = 4
