The Ghana Empire, also known as the Wagadou Empire was a civilization in Ghana which lasted from 700 until 1240 AD. The empire was able to thrive due to its vast salt and gold reserves. These resources were highly valued at the time and were the main source of income of the empire.

In order to maintain the value of gold, the Wagadou would regulate the supply of gold, reducing the output from their mines in order to maintain a certain level of scarcity in the market. This helped the precious metal to maintain a high price, resulting in a continuous profitable trade for the Wagadou.

Women working outside the home during the roaring twenties could expect what?
arlik [135]
Women would expect to make less money than men. This is because men were considered to be the "better" gender as they did "harder" jobs than women. Men were often found carrying heavy items, doing farm work and fixing things. Women would sow and if ever fallen pregnant, take care of the baby while the men earned money. Women would also expect to stay home and look after the house (clean) depending on their circumstances.

skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

In this painting called 'The Triumph of Marat', Marat is being carried by the people, the scene shows the people in a jubilant mood, celebrating the acquittal of Marat by the Revolution tribunal.

Marat's radical views and the zeal he voiced them with made him very popular among the lower classes within Paris and in the provinces.

A painting like this would have likely produced a mixed reaction from viewers in the salon, because of what a controversial figure Marat was.

Explanation:

Jean Paul Marat was French political theorist who was an advocate of extreme revolutionary views and measures. He was a prominent figure in the French Revolution, and was very popular with the lower classes of Paris.

The painting in figure 16 in chapter 1 of the NCERT titled 'The triumph of Marat' depicts him being carried jubilantly by the people after he was acquitted by the Revolutionary tribunal.

This painting would have produced mixed reactions from the viewers in the salon because Marat was such a controversial figure, and paintings of him at the time were mostly showing the scene of his assassination. But this painting showed him in a positive light.

ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS WILL MARK BRAINLIEST
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

Maybe, but their is a sense something is wrong. There is a sense of corruption, lying, and deceit from government and officials. There is a a sense that government spending is crazy and questions about a ballooning national debt. The USA is basically a developed country with lots of different types of resoures, but Barack is choking the people with purposeless spending, a sense everyone can get something from the government, higher taxation, and excessive regulation of business and the people. A majority have given up any real hope, and the drugs are virtually rampant, and gang wars are crazy in big cities. All of these negatives are grinding the people down, enabling the middle classes to disappear with people finding themselves rich or the great majority falling in to the abyss of government sponsored poverty.
