The v formation causes a slipstream for the birds behind the one in front causing it to be easier for them to fly long distances, the bird in front will often switch with a bird in back when it gets tired.

Answer:

There are two reasons that geese fly in a V shape. Firstly, it helps them to conserve energy, the first bird flies in front of the second bird to reduce the resistance of the wind.

In this way they can fly for a longer time before they can get tired and stop for rest. The second benefit of flying in this shape is that it is easy to keep a track on the birds of the group and assist better communication among themselves.

Answer:

Explanation:

Gas exchange takes place in the millions of alveoli in the lungs and the capillaries that envelop them. As shown below, inhaled oxygen moves from the alveoli to the blood in the capillaries, and carbon dioxide moves from the blood in the capillaries to the air in the alveoli.

How does carbonic anhydrase change the reaction between carbon dioxide and water?
Natalka [10]

It catalyzes the reaction by making it fast (both forward and reverse reactions).

Naturally, the reaction between CO2 and H2O is very slow in the formation of carbonic acid. However, in the blood, due to the presence of the enzyme, the reaction is much rapid by millions of factors. This is because the enzyme reduces the activation energy of the reactants.  The enzyme is important in respiration of cells and in pH regulation,
