In "The Doll's House" by Katherine Mansfield, we meet Kezia Burnell. She is a rich, privileged girl who gets a beautiful doll house as a present for her and her sisters. She is fascinated with the present, but in particular, with a little lamp in the middle of the dining room table. Kezia thinks the lamp is beautifully made, and that it looks real. It looks so real that it makes her feel as if she can claim to really live there.

"in what ways is it important to view a biblical worldview as affecting your desires"
Tanya [424]
The Biblical worldview is theocentric, which means that God is the center of the universe and the creator of everything; conversely, God should be the main focus of our lives. So, this worldview has taught us that we should be very careful with our wishes and try to eliminate selfish, bodily cravings, because they are the devil's temptations. Instead, we should only desire things that are in accordance with Judeo/Christian values, such as goodness, truth, spiritual beauty, modesty, righteousness.
