How can you solve 25% of 44 both mentally and with pencil and paper?
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

Solving it mentally :-

It says 25% × 44. When we have a percent, change it to decimal and solve which would be easy to do it mentally.

25% = 0.25

0.25 × 44 = 11 *Answer is bolded.*

Solving it on paper :-

I have attached a picture of me doing it on paper.

Hope this helps, thank you :) !!

Jim drove 436 miles using 16 gallons of gas. At this rate, how many limes would he drive using 14 gallons of gas?
almond37 [142]
The ratio here is 16:436.
The easiest way to solve this is finding how many miles Jim can drive using just 1 gallon. We can do this by dividing both sides of the ratio by 16.

16÷16 is 1
436÷16 is 27.25
so our new ratio is 1 gallon:27.25 miles.

next we simply multiply both sides by 14.
1x14=14
27.25x14=381.5 miles :)

Walter’s history test scores and Janine’s history test scores are shown on the dot plot below.
Usimov [2.4K]
Hiya!

Right now, both of their medians are 86. This means that both will get the same median if a 65 was added.

I believe A.) would be the correct answer, given it's pretty far away from 83 or 84. My second answer would be B.), but I'm not sure.

If you found this especially helpful, I'd appreciate if you'd vote me Brainliest for your answer. I want to be able to assist more users one-on-one! :)
