Answer:

To create positive and negative ends to attract and hence combine with each other.

Explanation:

Two molecules combine usually by some sort of attraction between them.

When one molecule loses OH- ion, it becomes positively charges while the other molecule loses H+ ion and becomes negatively charged.

Now two molecules , one electro positive and other electro negative attracts each other and combine by forming hydrogen bonds.

Like wise the H+ and OH- released, also combines to form water.

The loss of the hydrogen on one molecule produces a negative charge, which is attracted to the positive charge formed by the loss of the hydroxy group from the other molecule.

There are, 7 Carbon atoms, 10 Oxygen atoms, 12 Hydrogen atoms in the reactants and 1 Carbon atom, 3 Oxygen atoms, 2 Hydrogen atoms in the products.

How to count the number of atoms in reactants and products?

 • Write down the chemical formula that is:
 • C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} + O_{2} → CO_{2} + H_{2} O + ATP

 • List all the atoms present in the equation:

C

H

O

 • Count the number of atoms of the element of each molecule in the reactant.

C=6

O=8

H=12

 • Count the number of atoms of the element of each molecule in the Product.

C=1

O=8

H=2

Hence there are, 6 Carbon atoms, 8 Oxygen atoms, 12 Hydrogen atoms in the reactants and 1 Carbon atom, 3 Oxygen atoms, 2 Hydrogen atoms in the products.

Which statement correctly describes a scientific theory?
Gemiola [76]
"B" It is based on repeated investigations. It can always be proven false. It might not be, and it is NOT equivalent to a scientific law. A scientific law is something that is true, and nothing could change it. It is a fact.

I hope this helps!
