Answer:

The researchers were studying change blindness.

Explanation:

In the "door study", participants were exposed to major visual changes. They would be giving a man directions when two other men walked between them carrying a door. At this moment, the original man asking for directions would walk away carrying the door while another man replaced him. Approximately 50% of participants did not notice the replacement. That phenomenon is called change blindness, and it usually takes place when a person's attention is not focused on visual details. Since the participants in the study were more concerned with giving directions than with their interlocutor's appearance, they wouldn't notice the change.

Nikolay [14]

Answer:

Grounding Larry is an example of negative punishment.

Explanation:

In Operant Conditioning, punishments are used in order to decrease a specific conduct. These can be either negative (removing a pleasant stimulus) or positive (adding an aversive stimulus).

In this case, every time Larry hits his little brother he gets grounded, meaning that the pleasant stimulus of not being grounded is removed, thus providing a negative punishment.

The grounding is used to decrease his behavior which does after a few times of being grounded.

This person, who is doing the cheating, is overlooking what he is doing wrong, to further his interests and stay on the honor society.
