The author applies pathos to develop his argument. He uses emotionally charged language in order to evoke a response. Using the phrases like "destabilize and turn lethal", "if disturbed too much" and "risk catapulting ourselves into an alien environment" the author gives his message given metaphor to the whales' suicide that it is not a rational choice by ignoring the environment.

According to a source, this is the answer: The author uses logos to develop his argument by providing factual information

In support, the factual information that is stating an ecosystem involves both the biological (plants, animals, human beings) and non-biological (land, water, soil, and atmosphere) community which interacts as a system. More importantly, the living things are very dependent on the abiotic community since it cannot survive by itself. Every animal, plant and human needs the primary physiological needs of water, food and shelter provided by the abiotic system.

Which rhetorical appeal relies on logic and reasoning? ethos pathos logos harmatia
Jobisdone [24]
The correct answer is logos. Logos is logical appeal, or the appeal to reasoning. Ethos is ethical appeal, or an attempt to make the speaker or writer appear trustworthy, and pathos is emotional appeal, or an attempt to make the reader feel strongly about the speaker or writer's topic. A harmatia, in literature, is a fatal flaw in a character, and has nothing to do with persuasion or rhetorical language, as far as I know.

Hope this helps!

BRAINLIEST WILL BE CHOSEN!!!!!!!
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

Long ago, "in a kingdom by the sea," lived Annabel Lee, who loved the narrator. Both she and the narrator were children but knew love more powerful than that of the angels, who envied them. A wind chilled and killed Annabel, but their love was too strong to be defeated by angels or demons. The narrator is reminded of Annabel Lee by everything, including the moon and the stars, and at night, he lies by her tomb by the sea.

As you paraphrase, you should try very hard to copy the voice and style of the original text.
Setler [38]

Answer:

B). False.

Explanation:

Paraphrasing is described as the process of rewording or retelling the author's ideas in a refreshed and less complex manner through different words(as compared to the original text) to make it more comprehensive and effective for the readers to understand it.

The given assertion would be categorized as false because the primary aim of paraphrasing is to restate the ideas of the original text in a modified form without altering the essence, mood, or tone of the original text as it may affect the meaning or significance of the idea. However, there's no requirement to try hard to maintain the voice or style as it may prevent modification of the work in new form. Thus, the idea is to present in a refreshed manner so the words or style could be modified and hence, the assertion is false.
