Answer:Today I think the most critical issue college students have is money. Many families all around the world do not have the money required for their children to go to college. This could be due to many reasons. For example it could be due to the family's financial status or simply because that college is too expensive overall. This then leads to the students and families being in financial debt to pay off the college's tuition all throughout college and possibly after for most graduates.

After the students graduate from college they are going to likely be in a deep financial hole for the beginning of their adult lives This is something that no one wants over their head especially young adults. If I graduated college I would personally hate to be in debt to anyone as I started my journey off into the world. Being in debt can indefinitely hurt the livelihood of these young adults because the first thing they would have to do if they haven't already is find a job or work multiple jobs. This is something that no one would love to do but it is something that would have to be done as it is a part of the aftermath that college has left behind on the new graduates.

Luckily there are many ways that the graduate can work to or think about before and after they have graduated college. For example they could begin to invest before their college years and once college is done there investment could possibly end up putting a huge dent in their financial problem. Investing before going into college is something that can be very beneficial for the graduate as it may ease their stress and leave them with an easier task for themselves as they try to clear their financial debt. Another way for the graduate to deal with their debt and lead to not having any debt is scholarships. Scholarships can help pay for your college years and ease the students' stress. The only problem with getting scholarships for some students is either being very intelligent or being very good in sports. This is something that is not easy for all students as it is a constant fight on the battlefield of school to have the highest grades and have the best record on the field. In sports there are many students who train everyday in hopes of getting a scholarship to a school for the sport of their choice but ultimately fail due to the difficulty of competing with so many other students in the athletic department.

In my opinion I think that between athletic scholarships and academic scholarships, academics would be much easier to achieve then constantly competing between others for athletic scholarships. This is because if you choose to be an athlete you have to have intelligence and athleticism at the same time. Many students in the athletic department fail to get a scholarship not because of their physical abilities but simply because their grades in school do not make the cut. So I think that it is very important to focus on your studies in order to get a scholarship for college. If the student really tries in their academic years and studies in and out the reward in the end will be great. Although constantly working in your studies is not always the first pick for many students it will greatly help their cause to pay off college with little financial difficulty for them. Although working in your studies is not easy for everyone in the long run it will help greatly as you have the chance to earn a scholarship for college and your intelligence will rise. You can't go on in the world without learning anything after all you have to work hard to make a living and studying hard is where it all starts. If you study hard it will take you great places as you go through college and finish college. More job opportunities will open up for you and ultimately the higher the pay check. With a high pay check after college it brings an opportunity to bring even more financial stability if the student does still happen to be in debt which will set them off for ease throughout their adult lives into the working world.

wariber [46]
I believe the answer is B, an extended metaphor.
It can't be A because similes are comparing two unlike things using the words "like" or "as", which will also eliminate D.
It can't be C because a personification is where an inanimate object is given human-like qualities.

Throughout the entire passage, the author compares Ben to a bear and uses words such as "growled", "barked", "lumbered" which shows how the comparison between the two is prolonging throughout the passage.

Marta_Voda [28]

He argues that school is not a platform for free speech.

Explanation:

  • Blacks were facing discriminatory behavior at schools.
  • When some students tried to stand against the discriminatory behavior, they were oppressed by the school administration.
  • The schools claimed that they allow free speech but the truth was the opposite.
  • That's why the blacks argued against the majority opinion of whites in the school.
