For this case we have the following variable:

 • L: number of hours Landen spent at the beach

We have then that Matthew spent 15% fewer hours at the beach than landen did.

Therefore, the number of hours Mateo spent at the beach is:

L - 0.15L = 0.85 L

Answer:

The number of hours Mateo spent at the beach is:

L - 0.15L = 0.85 L

Mark earns $440 per week. He receives a 20% raise. What is Mark's weekly pay rate?
lys-0071 [83]

New pay = original pay x ( 1 + increase rate)

New pay = 440 x( 1 + 20 %)

New pay = 440 x 1.20

New pay = $528 per week

Slope = 4, passing through (-3,4)
Type the point-slope form of the equation of the line.
natta225 [31]

Answer:

y - 4 = 4 (x + 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Point-slope form is y - y1 = m (x - x1)

y1 is 4, m is 4, and x1 is -3

When you plug them in, you get: y - 4 = 4 (x + 3)

Note: (x - -3) becomes (x + 3)

I hope this helps!!

Substitution method need help for home work

-3y = x...so we sub in -3y for x in the other equation

-x + 7y = 70
-(-3y) + 7y = 70
3y + 7y = 70
10y = 70
y = 70/10
y = 7

so we sub in 7 for y in either of the original equations to find x
-3y = x
-3(7) = x
-21 = x

so ur solution is (-21,7)
