Why didn't the Missouri compromise last

Social Studies

Technically the compromise did last... during that time. It kept the balance of power between slave states and free states. There were multiple compromises after the Missouri compromise, and each of those compromises were a temporary solution because the United States was growing. But eventually as tension between the North and South grew greater then the Civil War broke out.

Long Answer short the Missouri compromise was like a band-aid being put over a bullet hole.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, if i'm not. Sorry :)

In the light reactions of photosynthesis, atp is produced by photophosphorylation. Which of the listed processes is most similar
Usimov [2.4K]

Oxidative phosphorylation in cellular respiration is most similar to photophosphorylation.

The process by which ATP synthesis is linked to the movement of electrons through the mitochondrial electron transport chain and the associated consumption of oxygen is known as oxidative phosphorylation.

Oxidative phosphorylation generates the majority of the ATP required by higher animals and plants to sustain life and is responsible for establishing and maintaining metabolic homeostasis.

Two interconnected components of oxidative phosphorylation are the electron transport chain and chemiosmosis. In the electron transport chain, electrons are transferred from one molecule to another, and the energy released during these electron transfers is used to form an electrochemical gradient.
