Alice Walker’s essay "Beauty When the Other Dancer is the Self" contains a rich texture of imagery that becomes more apparent wi
olga2289 [7]

What exactly is repetition? At its most basic, repetition is a word or phrase used multiple times in a text to emphasize an emotion or idea. It may appear counterintuitive to repeat, but repetition of words and phrases has powerful effects in literature when used correctly.

When a writer employs repetition, they place multiple iterations of a word or phrase next to each other. In other words, a word or phrase is repeated to add clarity and emphasis to the text, highlighting deeper meanings. The act of using language to create images in the mind of the reader is known as imagery. Writers use descriptive words and phrases to transport the reader to...well, wherever the writer wants them to go! Through the words they choose, the writer is attempting to create a "mental image" for the reader.

Imagery is a literary device used in poetry, novels, and other forms of writing that uses vivid description to evoke an image or idea in the minds of the readers. Language imagery aims to portray the sensational and emotional experience within text rather than just painting a picture. Imagery assists the mind in creating vivid scenes that appeal to the reader's senses. Imagery stimulates the reader's creativity and adds symbolic beauty and/or artistry to what is read.

Thus this is the significance of the repetition of the image and how it contributes to the essay as a whole.

White raven [17]

Answer:

motivation

Explanation:

In Literature, character development can be defined as a literary process or technique in which a writer portrays people as being real or believable in a work of fiction by ascribing depth (details) and personality to them.

Basically, various writers or authors use character development to make the audience or readers learn so much more about the characters as they develop in the story. The two (2) type of character development are; the author of a story making a character to seem more real or more human and when characters change or grow.

Motivation can be defined as the reason behind specific behaviors or actions that are being performed (exhibited) by a character in a literary work.

Hence, by making inferences based on analysis of a character, the reader is able to determine a character's motivation.

Examine Sam’s use of the word “questionizin’” on page 63. Vernacular language, like figurative language, often has nuanced meani
ser-zykov [4K]

Explanation:

The question is about Sam Watson, a character from the novel "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston.

This novel is filled with vernacular language, as a part of the setting of the story.

Questioning means doubting a validity of something, demanding a proof, querying.

Sam Watson, in this particular situation, used the term "questionizin" as a synonim for "asking" ("Ah'm questionizin' you!")

Although both words have the same root (question) their meanings slightly differ, as shown, but in spite of that difference, Sam's sentence can be understood in a proper context.
