The caste system dictates that everyone is born into a certain role to fill in society. They can not and do not deviate from this role and follow it through their life. They are treated as per the role's requirements. The priests are given the highest of ranks, then come the warriors and so on. Therefore, to Hindus, all existence is ranked where one is above or below another. The answer is D.
