Anaj Mandi area in New Delhi faced a huge fire which resulted in 43 deaths. It was a narrow area so the rescue teams has difficulties to continue their work and save people. The delay in rescue operations resulted in 43 deaths.

NTPC power plant faced an explosion at its 500 megawatt unit in Feroze Gandhi Unchhachar coal fired power plant. 40 people were dead in this massive explosion. The boiler pipe burst and ignited huge fire. There were almost 200 people present there at the time of explosion and almost half of them got injured seriously.

Indian Oil Corporation had a huge tank of 8,000 kilolitres of petrol which caught fire in 2009. Hundreds of people were injured by the explosion and 12 lost their lives in this incident.
