The Embargo Act of 1807 is an act for the American shipping and market.The purpose of the act was to prohibit U.S. vessels from trading with European nations. The idea was to stop the conflict with Britain, which<span> seized American ships that were taking goods to France.</span> The act restricted the way that goods were taken to and from the U.S., France and Britain.Ships were controlled to be <span>fully bonded and their the crews protected. So, one positive outcome of the Embargo Act is that is set a precedent by establishing the United Stated stand on neutral rights and reluctance to become embroiled in European conflicts.</span>
