Explanation:

Sentence B only explains that they were successful with it. No background info at all.

Sentence C says nothing about the paragraph. It just gave an estimate of when the product would be completely available or the progression.

Sentence D explains how they‘ve been researching for the past 10 years and how they’ve been experimenting with it.
