The formula for the midpoint of a line is
x1 + x2 y1 + y2
--------- , -----------
     2 2

so x+9 / 2 = 6 and 5+y / 2 = 3

so x = 3 and y = 1

x+y = 4

Fran cycles at a speed of 5.3 m/s for 5 minutes.

How far does she travel?
chubhunter [2.5K]

Step-by-step explanation:

In 1 second Fran cycles 5.3 m.

So we need to work out how many seconds is in 5 minutes.

1 minute = 60 seconds

5 minutes = 60*5 = 300 seconds

So Fran cycles at a speed of 5.3 m/s in 300 seconds.

1 second = 5.3m

300 seconds = 5.3*300 = 1590m

Hope this helps!
