Sin(x-pi) always range  from -1 to 1

which means :

y = 1 + 2 (-1 to 1)

y = 1 + (-2 to 2)

y = -1 to 3

hope this helps

Answer:

The range of the function 1+2sin(x-π) is:

          [-1,3]

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find the range of 1+2sin(x-π)

sin(x-π)= -sin(π-x)    (since sin(-x)= - sinx )

now, sin(π-x)=sinx

since, the value of sinx lies between -1 and 1

i.e.     -1≤sinx≤1

⇒       -2≤2sinx≤2     (multiplying by 2)

⇒     -1≤1+2sinx≤3    (adding 1 on both sides)

Hence, the range of the function 1+2sin(x-π) is:

          [-1,3]

a flat rectangular piece of aluminum has a perimeter of 64 inches. the length is 10 inches longer than the width. find the width
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

The width of the piece is 11 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the length of the rectangular piece of aluminum in inches

y ----> the width of the rectangular piece of aluminum in inches

we know that

The perimeter of the rectangular piece of aluminum is equal to

P=2(x+y)

we have

P=64\ in

so

64=2(x+y)

simplify

32=x+y ----> equation A

x=y+10 ----> equation B

Solve the system by substitution

substitute equation B in equation A

32=y+10+y

solve for y

32=2y+10

2y=32-10

2y=22

y=11

therefore

The width of the piece is 11 inches

You are selling cookies for your organization. One box of cookies is sold for $3. Thirty percent of the sale price goes to the b
choli [55]
A) Your organization gets half of the revenue after 30% is deducted. You get ...
 (1/2)×($3 - 0.30×$3) = (1/2)×$3×0.70 = $1.05 for each box of cookies

B) If the number you must sell to earn $100 is represented by n, then you have
 $1.05×n = $100
 n = 100/1.05 ≈ 95.24
To earn $100 for your local chapter, you must sell 96 boxes of cookies.

Bianca’s Bike Shop made a profit of $54,000 last year. This year, the profits were 250% of last year’s. How much profit did Bian
Alexandra [31]
Since the percent increase is bigger than 100%, it definitely has to be more than 54,000.

so let's break this down:
250%= 100% + 100% + 50%

we know 100% is the whole price so if there are 2 100% we have to multiply the price by two!!!
54,000•2 = 108,000

now, 50% is half of the whole price, divide the price by two:
54,000÷2= 27,000

so add your results and you will get this!
108,000+27,000= 135,000

The probability that an individual has 20-20 vision is 0.19 0.19. in a class of 70 70 students, what is the mean and standard
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Formula to find mean and standard deviation is,

Means = np and standard deviation =\sqrt{n p (1-p)}.

Where n= sample size, p = probability.

According to the given problem, the probability that an individual has 20 vision is 0.19 in a class of 70 students. So,

p = 0.19 and n = 70.

Hence, the first step is to plug in these values in the above formula to get mean and standard deviation. Therefore,

Mean = np

= 70* 0.19

= 13.3

= 13.300 (Rounded to nearest thousandth.

Standard deviation = \sqrt{np(1-p)}

=\sqrt{70*0.19*(1-0.19)}

=\sqrt{13.3*0.81}

=√10.773

=3.282224855

= 3.282 (Rounded to nearest thousandth).
