In what two ways did World War I affect the women in the United States?
saul85 [17]
I know one way was that the country's two major political parties supported suffragists (women who fought for the right to vote) after the war. Women helped during the war, by becoming nurses and helping the troops. Others joined the workforce and took over jobs usually men did often working for the same wages as men. This lead to a change in public opinion on women's voting rights-and soon the 19th Amendment was passed and it allowed women to vote.

What advantage did the Confederate<br> army have over the Union army?
Nadusha1986 [10]
At the onset on the war, in 1861 and 1862, they stood as relatively equal combatants. The Confederates had the advantage of being able to wage a defensive war, rather than an offensive one. They had to protect and preserve their new boundaries, but they did not have to be the aggressors against the Union :)
