why is there a bigger difference in temperature between January and July in Spokane than in Seattle
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

Spokane and Seattle are located in the state of Washington. Even though, Spokane is only 360 kilometers east of Seattle, there is a huge difference in temperature between January and July because of their distance from the pacific ocean.

The temperature of Spokane and Seattle is influenced by the pacific ocean and the Olympic mountains around. Seattle is closer to the pacific ocean and the olympic mountains that keep the cities temperature lower while Spokane’s are more continental and far from the pacific ocean and the Olympic mountains that makes its temperature rise more.

Hence, the temperature of Spokane and Seattle is influenced by marine position.

Read the section titled "Keep Girls in School." Why is the improved education of girls so important, especially with regard to e
insens350 [35]

If girls’ education continues to secondary level, they will be better equipped to make informed choices about their lives. Too often, girls are married young, or are taken out of school to care for their brothers and sisters or to work to support themselves and their families. At an individual level, women typically gain larger increases in wages for an additional year’s schooling than men, and this effect appears particularly strong if girls complete secondary education. Meeting a woman’s need for sexual and reproductive health services increases her chances of finishing her education, and breaking out of poverty. Laws and practices which limit a woman’s ability to control her sexual and reproductive health severely compromise her autonomy, equality, and health – as well as her children’s health.

What happens to the birth rate of a country when the economy develops? Why?
Mariana [72]
When a country has economic development, the birth rate usually falls. People are working more and wait later in life to have children. While some others now choose to not have any children at all. For a population to be stable, a woman needs to have 2 children, it has fallen over the years in developed countries. This can be problematic for future generations because the newer generations are the ones to support the retiring generations. Labor forces will shrink and this will then hurt the economy.
