Answer: The driver was making a situational attribution; the officer was making a dispositional attribution.

Explanation: Situational attribution is defined as the act of designating the cause of a behaviour to an external source outside an individual's control. It is also known as environmental attribution.

Dispositional attribution is defined as the act of designating the cause of  a behavior to an internal source. That is the inner characteristic of a person.

The answer is <u>"The driver was making an external attribution; the officer was making an internal attribution".</u>

The propensity of assigning the reason or obligation of a specific conduct or activity to external characteristic as opposed to universal trademark is called an external attribution or Situational Attribution.

The propensity of assigning the reason or duty of a specific conduct or activity to the internal characteristic, instead of to outside powers is called an internal attribution or Dispositional Attribution.

of the patrol allocation models described in the readings this week, which one do you think is the most effective?. using at lea
8_murik_8 [283]

Police/population ratios, comparative analyses of similar jurisdictions, geography, and workload assignment are the four categories into which allocation methods fall when determining which model is the most effective.

Determining which method is more effective than the others or another is, in my opinion, difficult. Choosing which is most effective involves a lot of different factors. For instance, a small town outside the city where I currently reside may concur that the geography method is better suited to their needs. Because of the town's generally low crime rate, I say this. There is a good deal of land, but it is not heavily developed, and the majority of the houses are situated on large parcels of land. It would be reasonable to assign just one officer to each beat as a result.

As I previously stated, such concept would not be practical for me because I reside in a much larger metropolis. It would not be optimal to allocate only one officer to each beat because most regions of the city are so densely inhabited. To develop an effective model that satisfies the special demands of that particular city, town, or community, I would argue that all of the strategies should be taken into account and applied.
