Now, keep the 3 ( put it at the bottom) then carry the one (put it over the 4 to indicate that we need to add one to 4).

Last step. All we have to do is add 4 + 1. 4 + 1 = 5.

Now add 5 to the bottom ( in the tens place).

Answer: 53.
