English
1 answer:
marta [7]3 years ago
4 0

Answer with Explanation:

The book, entitled "March," is a story of John Lewis' struggles when he fought for equality rights regarding races. He was a US Congressman and a Civil Rights Leader.

Part of the book was the "Nashville Student Movement." This movement was meant to challenge the racial segregation that was happening in Nashville, the capital of Tennessee.

The members in the movement joined workshops that allowed them to know the strategies of non-violence resistance. Part of the workshop was to call each other names and harass each other in order for the members to know what was really happening and the tensions in the segregation. They have to remain firm in doing the sit-ins that's why they needed to have a fair view of what will really happen once the whites harass them and call them names.

creativ13 [48]
The true meaning of the word "benign" in this sentence is - harmless. It is the word that originates from Latin word "benignus". In medical terms, it refers to something that does not cause death or serious injury. Also, it is most commonly used to describe tumors which are not cancerous.
