The best visual representation of data suited for the task of showing each cause of death as a percentage to indicate the largest cause of death is the pie chart. 

Why?
The parts of a pie chart are divided depending of the percentage of a data. The others types of chart or not reliable for case. For example, line graphs are used for showing the evolution of data, bar graphs are using only numbers, and diagrams and maps are not reliable for this case.
