An authoritarian will destroy opposition. Authoritarians believe in having power and control over every monopoly. Therefore opposition is seen as a threat and enemy.

Explanation: In an authoritarian decision making, there is no space for debating different ideas since they pose a threat to the imposed regimen. In this context, those who oppose will not be given political participation, this they will not be heard. They will be politically persecuted and defamed externally through media as "the ones who loose to the order". This way, the one individual reassures his of her total control.
