American author John Ernst Steinbeck Jr (1902-1968) was notable for his prolific career, with 27 books, and many prizes and awards. Most notably the Nobel prize, in 1962, where in the award cerimony they stated, confirming the "all of aspects above" option: "for his realistic and imaginative writings, combining as they do, sympathetic humour and keen social perception."

What would it be like to live in a society without rules

HAS TO BE 150 WORDS
iren2701 [21]
To live in a society without rules would be like living in a wasteland. It would be horrible, unfair, unjustified and more. If we living in a world without rules we would probably be dead by now because there would be no jail, no laws and all the bad people in the world would be able to hurt people without getting what THEY deserve or put in jail/prison. Also, if we live in a world without laws the entire world would be trashy, chaotic, and dirty. But, this will not happen because we have very affective laws and we all do our best to protect our world/planet.

A) How can you say that Rip Van Winkle was a good man and a generous
neighbor?

GuDViN [60]

Answer: Rip Van Winkle was a good man and a generous neighbor because he helped the strange man that was climbing up the mountain, as well as assisting neighbors or any person in need.

Explanation: Although Rip Van Winkle was not successful at helping himself, his heart was as kind as can be. He would always help anyone who needed assistance, such as his neighbors, and the man that he saw climbing up the mountain, even when after meeting with the man and his squad, Rip Van Winkle fell asleep in a slumber of 20 years.
