through the flaring streets, jostled by drunken men and bargaining women, amid the curses of labourers, the shrill litanies of shop-boys who stood on guard by the barrels of pigs' cheeks, the nasal chanting of street-singers, who sang a come-all-you about O'Donovan Rossa, or a ballad about the troubles in our native land. Answer:

D. Imagery

Explanation:

Imagery is a literary device that uses a vivid and descriptive language that appeals to any of our senses, be it sight, hearing, smell, taste or touch. This excerpt uses this device as its language is descriptive enough to evoke pictures or ideas in our minds that appeal to our senses of sight (As in the line "We walked through the flaring streets, jostled by drunken men") and hearing (As in "amid the curses of labourers, the shrill litanies of shop-boys" and "the nasal chanting of street-singers").

Describe the benefits and limitations of sports in Australia?
zhuklara [117]

Answer: Sport has developed gradually in Austraila. It it one of the many things that unifies it nationally. Though sport in Australia has some great benefits, it can also have its limitations. Economically, sports provides a significant amount of money that goes towards health and education. Sports in Austrailia is something most people in enjoy. Another benefit is that it brings communities together. A limitation is that not as many people are playing sports now, so many sports are finding it hard to get sponsors. With things that happen and go on in Australia, it also makes it hard to play nationally recognised sports like horseback riding, rugby, etc.

Review the thesis.
Nostrana [21]

I would say that a "Scientific article describing the negative effect of school uniforms" would be your best bet because the article contains factual information about how wearing school uniforms deteriorates a child's creativity ( and whatever the article said)!

I hope that this helped. : )
