Environmental manipulation of a crop can not only have unexpected consequences, but also have a negative impact on the atmosphere as well. The crops produced might be of inferior quality than expected. The amount of crop that grows can also be less. More water might be needed for the crops to grow.

Environmental manipulation can be described as the interventions of human beings in the environment in a way such that the consequences are unpredictable. The way nature response to the activity of human beings can be in any manner. It can accept it or cannot accept it. The activities such as manipulation of genes in crops(genetic engineering) can be profitable but on the other hand the invasion of human beings into forest can cause drought as well. This is because of the unbalanced ecology.

So, the consequences of environmental manipulation is unexpected.

Anit [1.1K]

Solution:

According to the accepted current theory, known as the fluid mosaic model, the plasma membrane is composed of a double layer (bilayer) of lipids, oily substances found in all cells. The fluid mosaic model was first proposed by S.J. The fluid mosaic model describes the structure of the plasma membrane as a mosaic of components —including phospholipids, cholesterol, proteins, and carbohydrates—that gives the membrane a fluid character. Plasma membranes range from 5 to 10 nm in thickness.

Thus this is the required answer.
