Read the excerpt from "The Crab That Played with the Sea."
Now, while the two were talking together, Pau Amma the Crab, who was next in the game, scuttled off sideways and stepped into the sea, saying to himself, 'I will play my play alone in the deep waters, and I will never be obedient to this son of Adam.' Nobody saw him go away except the little girl-daughter where she leaned on the Man's shoulder. And the play went on till there were no more Animals left without orders; and the Eldest Magician wiped the fine dust off his hands and walked about the world to see how the Animals were playing.

B.He is afraid of humans.
C.He thinks he is better than other animals.
D.He enjoys spending time with other animals.
The excerpt supports the conclusion that, Pau Amma thinks he is better than other animals.
Answer: Option C.
Explanation:
‘The Crab That Played with the Sea’ is a very entertaining book for children written by Rudyard Kipling. In the excerpt, Pau Amma is a crab who isn’t obedient as the rest of the animals. From the line ‘I will play my play alone in the deep waters, and I will never be obedient to this son of Adam’ we get to known that Pau Amma simply don’t want to follow the orders of the man. All the other animals in the excerpt are engaged in a game told by the magician except Pau Amma. The crab gets annoyed and starts playing in the sea alone, away from the group. This simply depicts the way crab sees himself as better than the rest.
Wel considering the fact that i haven read much... I would trust her just because of the way she tells it. yes i understand that emothins of the event may get in the way but she was the main focus of the book and it was her story to tell. and just to add to it some parts of the book she was alone and when your alone there is no one to account for what happened. but i trust that she is portraying the events accurately.
hope this helps
