She is incorrect. The sequence is neither arithmetic nor geometric.

Why isn't it arithmetic? Because the distance from 2 to 3 is different from 3 to 5

we add 1 to go from 2 to 3

we add 2 to go from 3 to 5

Put another way,

3-2 = 1

5-3 = 2

This shows that there is no common difference. Therefore this sequence isn't arithmetic

----------------------------------

There is no common ratio as well. Pick any term and divide by its previous term

(term2)/(term1) = 3/2 = 1.5

(term3)/(term2) = 5/3 = 1.67

(term4)/(term3) = 8/5 = 1.6

The results are close, but not the exact same every time. The inconsistent results above show there isn't any common ratio. This shows us we don't have a geometric sequence.

Note: this sequence is very close to a subset of the Fibonacci sequence (if the 12 was 13, then it would work perfect)

sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

0.0791

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that  the probability of white eyes is 1/4 and the probability of red eyes is 3/4, for an individual fly.

Observations are independent

Let A be finding the white eyed fly and B

finding the red eyed fly

P(A) for any random trial= 0.25 and

P(B) = 0.75

Each trial is independent of the other

The probability that at least four flies have to be checked for eye color to observe a white-eyed fly

=Probability for I, II, III and Iv flies to have red eyes * Prob for 5th fly to have white eye

=0.75^4(0.25)\\=0.0791

In a particular course, it was determined that only 70% of the students attend class on Fridays. From past data it was noted tha
siniylev [52]

Answer: Probability that students who did not attend the class on Fridays given that they passed the course is 0.043.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Probability that students attend class on Fridays = 70% = 0.7

Probability that who went to class on Fridays would pass the course = 95% = 0.95

Probability that who did not go to class on Fridays would passed the course = 10% = 0.10

Let A be the event students passed the course.

Let E be the event that students attend the class on Fridays.

Let F be the event that students who did not attend the class on Fridays.

Here, P(E) = 0.70 and P(F) = 1-0.70 = 0.30

P(A|E) = 0.95,  P(A|F) = 0.10

We need to find the probability that they did not attend on Fridays.

We would use "Bayes theorem":

P(F\mid A)=\dfrac{P(F).P(A\mid F)}{P(E).P(A\mid E)+P(F).P(A\mid F)}\\\\P(F\mid A)=\dfrac{0.30\times 0.10}{0.70\times 0.95+0.30\times 0.10}\\\\P(F\mid A)=\dfrac{0.03}{0.695}=0.043

Hence, probability that students who did not attend the class on Fridays given that they passed the course is 0.043.

A 15-foot flag pole is next to a tree. The flag pole is casting a shadow of 22.5 feet and the tree is casting a shadow that is 1
muminat

Answer:32.1428571429 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The flag is 15 feet.

It's shadow is 10.5 feet.

15/10.5=1.4285714286.

So the flag is above mentioned times of the shadow.

And the tree's hight will be,

22.5*1.4285714286

=32.1428571429 feet.
