My favourite setting for landscapes is beaches as I believe that they can be significantly aesthetically appealing. As well as this, there are different visually pleasing elements which are a part of the landscape including the shore, water and sky. There are also many different beaches with different views and elements, making it a versatile setting for landscapes.
I live in Alberta Canada. If you are an American, I live almost straight north of Great Falls Montana which is very similar in terrain to Alberta.
That makes me a Prairie Dog and I'm afraid I have to report that I like where I live. The sunsets are long and varied. The roads are straight and some would say boring. The land is rich and fertile. And the colors are green and brown and yellow.
The crops are glow in the dark yellow especially in June/July when the farmers plant canola. I like driving in our next door neighbor province (British Columbia). It is astonishing in winter and summer, but I prefer the winter. But I yearn for home after about 2 weeks. Alberta is open country where a man can breathe and not be concerned about who is watching him do it.
The person above me just reminded me how much I love the ocean. Still, I wouldn't trade it for the prairies.
