A strategic alliance is a partnership in which two or more companies (often from different countries) join together and share the risk and costs in order to undertake a major project. Although the parties still operate as separate entities they have a partnership to accomplish their goals. These are mutually beneficial to all involved, collaborating together, but maintaining their own business allows them to both succeed.

Activity Estimated Indirect Allocation Base Estimated Q. of

                      Activity Costs Allocation Base

Materials handling $7,700 Number of parts 7,350 parts

Assembling $10,500 Number of parts 7,350 parts

Packaging $2,410 Number of units 1,470 bookshelves

The direct materials cost per bookshelf is $39. What is the cost of materials handling and assembling per bookshelf?

materials handling cost per part = $7,700 / 7,350 parts = $1.05

assembling cost per part = $10,500 / 7,350 parts = $1.43

total cost per part = $2.48

cost per bookshelf = 5 x $2.48 = $12.40

When earning compound interest on money you invest, which statement is true?
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

A As time goes on and your bank account grows, you earn more interest.

Explanation:

A compound interest-earning account adds the interest it has earned in a particular period to the principal amount. This results in the principal amount increasing by the amount of interest earned in the period. Therefore, for compound interest, the principal amount is bigger at the beginning of every year.

In practice, interest is calculated based on the principal amount. If the principal amount is higher every period, the interest earned will also go up every year.
